Pfeiffer Swimming Takes Third at SunCoast Championships
Columbus, Ga. - The Pfeiffer Falcon Women's Swimming Team extended their lead over Thomas University to hold onto third place in the team race at the 2020 SunCoast Conference Championships.
The Falcons ended the meet in great fashion, with the "A" 400-yard freestyle relay team of senior Tiffany Bartholomew, wophomore Samira Wolf, junior Haley Zoltoski and freshman Nyah Hines setting a new school Record of 4:01.93 in placing sixth overall. The "B" relay team of sophomore Ada McClendon, freshman Kara Robertson, junior Mary Rhyne amd senior Kayleigh Hunt placed seventh with a time of 4:27.20.
Other championship finalists on the last night of competition were the trio of Hines (2:29.06), McClendon (2:37.33) and Robertson (2:40.65) finishing sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively, in the 200-yard backstroke to start the evening session.
Bartholomew closed out a spectacular championship meet individually, with a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.85, while Rhyne (2:50.58) and Hunt (3:13.27) placing seventh and eighth to complete the individual championship final scoring..
Once again, all the Pfeiffer Swimmers scored in the last session, which assured the third place team finish.
