Pfeiffer's Tiffany Bartholomew Breaks School 200-Freestyle Record
Misenheimer, N.C. (Jan. 27, 2020) – The Pfeiffer University women's swim team took a home dual meet win over Columbia College at the Merner Gym Pool this past Saturday.
Senior Tiffany Bartholomew (Raleigh, N.C.) broke the Pfeiffer school record in the 200-yard freestyle with her 2:10.00 swim, taking .56 second off the previous mark. Her performance spearheaded a Falcon victory over the visiting Columbia College, 96-81. Junior Mary Rhyne (Lexington, N.C.) set a personal best in the 100-yard breaststroke while season best marks were turned in by sophomore Samira Wolf (Pocasset, Mass.) in the 500-yard freestyle and senior Kayleigh Hunt (Denton, N.C.) in the 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard freestyle.
Next week, the Falcons will celebrate Kayleigh Hunt on Senior Day, in the final dual meet of the season at 1:00 p.m. against Salem College at the Merner Gym Natatorium.
