Pfeiffer Swimming Record Falls at ECAC Winter Championship

Misenheimer, N.C. (Dec. 9, 2019) – The Pfeiffer University women's swimming team competed at the ECAC Winter Championships this past weekend, with one school record falling and with several lifetime best performances.

Senior Tiffany Bartholomew (Raleigh, N.C.) broke her own school record in the 200 yard breaststroke, with a 2:38.62, besting the previous record by nearly 12 seconds.

Haley Zoltoski (Raleigh, N.C.) performed well, dropping a total of 18.96 seconds while competing in five events on the weekend.  Teammate Mary Rhyne (Lexington, N.C.) also made significant strides while swimming in three events, as she dropped 11.63 seconds.

All told, five Falcon swimmers had lifetime bests. In addition to Bartholomew, Rhyne and Zoltoski, Nyah Hines (Randallstown, Md.) and Samira Wolf (Pocasset, Mass.) each had bests, with Hines gaining bests in four events while Wolf secured career bests in three events.
