Falcon Baseball Gets 3-2 Road Win at St. Andrews
Laurinburg, N.C. (March 27, 2019) – The Pfeiffer University baseball team earned a 3-2 road win at St. Andrews on Wednesday.

How it Happened
Pfeiffer scratched across a run in the top of the ninth to break a 2-2 tie in claiming their fifth-straight win and 13th win in their past 14 games.
Kirby Lambert would start off the Falcon ninth and would reach on an error by the Knight centerfielder. He would then advance to second on a throwing error by the SAU pitcher. He would later score the eventual game-winning run.
In the bottom half of the ninth, Falcon pitcher Josh Topper issued a leadoff walk. SAU then bunted the runner over on a sacrifice, but the Falcons then forced a pair of fielder's choice to gain the second and third outs, preserving the 3-2 win.

Pfeiffer will entertain USA South foe Berea this upcoming weekend. Saturday will feature a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed by a single-game on Sunday, also at 1:00 p.m.
