William Peace Drops Pfeiffer Baseball, 7-4
Cary, N.C. (March 16, 2019) – William Peace University scored two runs in the first, second and fourth innings to down the Pfeiffer University baseball team 7-4 on Saturday at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, N.C.

How it Happened
William Peace opened the scoring in the bottom of the first, plating two runs off Pfeiffer starting pitcher Nathan Ray.
Pfeiffer answered in the top of the second, scoring two runs, with the first coming on an RBI groundout from Eli Blake and the second run coming off the bat of Bryan Kowalski, as he singled to left field, scoring Blake Winebarger.
After WPU added a pair of runs in the bottom of the second, making it 4-2, Pfeiffer's Bryce Marsh drove in Mason Striplin, who reached on a single to start the inning, making it 4-3.
WPU got two more runs in the fourth to push their lead to 6-3. Pfeiffer's Bryce Marsh connected on a home run to start the fifth inning, bringing the Falcons to within 6-4.
William Peace then got an insurance run to complete the scoring in the seventh inning and held the Falcons scoreless over the final two frames to take the win.
