LAGRANGE, GA. -- LaGrange had no answer for Molly O'Friel as the Falcons (6-1) ran past the Panthers (3-5) on Sunday afternoon. O'Friel finished the game with eight goals and five assists for 13 points, which tied the third most points in a single game in program history and is a career high for the senior.
Meagan Bourque opened the scoring just 90 seconds in with an unassisted goal and the first of 10 straight Pfeiffer goals to open the game. Hailey Metzger found O'Friel for the second goal before Josie Lent scored back-to-back goals 4:32 apart. O'Friel, Kylie Lode, Bourque, Startraya Galloway and Gabby Bosak would all net goals to push the Falcon lead to 10-0.
After LaGrange scored one, O'Friel had the answer 21 seconds later. O'Friel would end the half with her fifth goal of the first 30 minutes to give the Falcons a 13-2 advantage heading into the break.
In the second half, O'Friel would score three more times and hand out three assists to account for all six of Pfeiffer's second-period goals.
Bourque would finish with three goals and Lode had a goal and two assists, while Bosak netted a pair of goals. Lent was tremendous for the Falcons as well, scoring four goals and causing five turnovers to go with seven ground balls.
O'Friel would add nine draw controls to her ledger.
Pfeiffer held a 23-11 advantage in ground balls and doubled up the Panthers in shots, 34-17.
The Falcons return to action on Wednesday night when they host Salem at 6 p.m.
