Pfeiffer Scores Twenty Goals in Dominating Performance Over Huntingdon

Montgomery, AL -- It was a dominating performance for the Pfeiffer women's lacrosse team on Saturday as they defeated Huntingdon 20-1. The 20 point outburst is the highest of the season, beating their 19 point performance in their first game of the season against Greensboro.

The Falcons scored 14 goals in the first half, including 5 by Molly O'Friel. Meagan Bourque put 3 in the back of the net, while Josie Lent scored twice. Startraya Galloway also scored 2 goals in the half.

Just over one minute in to the game, Hailey Metzger put one home on an assist from Kirsten Martin for her fourth goal of the season. Just two minutes later, Josie Lent scored her first goal of the contest to put Pfeiffer up 2-0, and the rout was on.

The Falcons scored the first 18 goals of the game until Vanessa Maldonado scored the only goal for the Hawks midway through the second half.

Goalie Sam Hanlon took home her third win of the season, collecting 2 saves. Emily James also got in the action at goalie, coming through with 3 saves. Pfeiffer totaled 11 assists on the afternoon and also came up with 22 ground balls.

The Falcons take the field again Sunday as they travel to LaGrange. Game time is scheduled for 2:00.
