Cold Shooting In Fourth Quarter Leads To Falcons Loss

MISENHEIMER, NC – The Lees-McRae Bobcats (2-18, 2-12 CC) picked up their second win of the season as they defeated the Pfeiffer Falcons (6-12, 4-9 CC), 56-43 inside Merner Gymnasium on Saturday night. Meg Pritchard once again led all Falcon scorers with her 14 points.

The Falcons cut into the Bobcats lead in the third quarter as they outscored them, 21-10 to cut the lead to 41-40 by the end of the third. Pritchard scored a quarter-high eight points as she went 3-for-3 from the field.  Pfeiffer's quarter was also highlighted by made three pointers from Ariana Tillman and Bethany Sarson.

Lees McRae outscored the the women from Misenheimer, 14-2 in the final quarter. Pfeiffer went cold from the field in the fourth, shooting just 1-for-9 from the floor.

The Bobcats lead throughout the as three players scored in double figures.  Markia Stacey a game-high 20 points and Brea Forbes and Breana Hardnett both had 11. Stacey went 7-for-13 from the field and 2-for-5 from beyond the arc.

Pfeiffer returns to action as they travel to Barton on Wednesday night for a scheduled tip at 5:30 p.m.
