Falcons Fall On The Road At Limestone

GAFFNEY, SC – The Pfeiffer Falcons (0-6, 0-6 CC) fell to the Limestone Saints (5-4, 5-3 CC) on Friday night in Limestone, 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-17). For the second straight match, Corbin Keller and Evan Blair led the team with kills as they both registered eight on the night for Pfeiffer.

Pfeiffer and Limestone matched each other point-for-point in set one as Limestone took an early 12-11 lead.  At 18-13, Keller added his first kill of the night. The Falcons added another point on a kill by Jesse Print at 19-15 and another on Blair's second kill of the set at 20-15. Pfeiffer went on drop set one as they only managed to tally six kills as they were out hit by the Saints which had 15 kills on a percentage of .357.

Limestone took set two 25-13, but in set three, Pfeiffer jumped out to a 5-2 advantage with the help of two kills from Blair and one from Keller. As the score was tied at six in the third, Pfeiffer scored the next two points again from kills from Blair and Keller. Limestone went on a 7-1 run before the Falcons called timeout. After the timeout, Pfeiffer dropped three more points. With Pfeiffer down 17-11, Blair added his final kill of the match and then Keller added his last kill of the match at 18-12 as Pfeiffer was unable to score the rest of the way.

Falcon setter Hunter Gray added 19 assists on the evening.

Pfeiffer returns to action next Friday as they travel to Emmanuel for a 7 p.m. first serve.
