Men's Tennis Defeats Lees-McRae in Final Regular Season Appearance

BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team won its eighth match of the season and improved to 8-11 (3-8 CC) after beating Lees-McRae (1-16, 0-10) in a 6-3 decision at the LMC Tennis Courts on Monday afternoon.

The Bobcats started off with a 2-1 advantage after the first and third doubles earned victories. But Pfeiffer powered through singles and won matches at the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth singles spots to win the overall match 6-3.

With the win, PFU has won two of its last three matches after blanking Johnson C. Smith on April 9. The Falcons have clinched the final seed of the Conference Carolinas Tournament and will play their quarterfinals matchup with No. 1-seeded Limestone on Friday, April 21 at 9 a.m. in Sumter, SC.
