Five Players Net Hat Tricks as Falcons Cruise Past William Peace

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Pfeiffer men's lacrosse team (6-3) had little trouble dispatching William Peace (3-7) as the Falcons came away with a 20-7 victory on Wednesday evening. Five different players netted a hat trick for the Falcons who entered as one of the most efficient offenses in the nation and posted their third 20-goal output of the season.

The Falcons were led by senior Blade Garlow who finished with eight points on four goals and four assists. The senior now sits just four goals shy of number 100 for his career and ranks 10th in team history with 155 career points. Only eight players in program history have reached the century mark in goals scored for their career.

Jared Nelson also finished with four goals on the evening and handed out three assists. Ryan Cummings, John Allen and Alex Skidmore all added three goals apiece in the win.

Pfeiffer held a 49-34 discrepancy in ground balls and won 22-of-30 faceoffs on the night. Josh Reffey went 21-for-26 on the faceoff and added five ground balls.

Pfeiffer outshot the Pacers 50-29 and went 2-for-4 on the man advantage. The 50 shots represented the second highest total of the year for Pfeiffer.

Jacob Michel played the first 47 minutes in goal to earn his fourth save. Michel made seven saves before giving way to Nathan Walker who made one stop.

Garlow added five ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers to his ledger.

Luke Cox added two goals and an assist and Ben Zahorec added a goal of his own.

Pfeiffer returns to action on Sunday night as they host Huntingdon at 7 p.m. which will mark their first game at N.E. Lefko Field since beating Averett on March 3.
